Salary

The emoluments for the positions offered are structured across different salary grades, with the designation determining the cost to company (CTC) on an approximate per annum basis. The details are as follows:

  • Junior Executive falls under the E0 salary grade, with a pay scale ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.1,20,000, leading to an approximate CTC of Rs.7.78 lakhs per annum.
  • Senior Engineer is placed under the E3 salary grade, with a pay scale of Rs.60,000 to Rs.1,80,000, and the approximate CTC is Rs.15.92 lakhs per annum.
  • Senior Manager is categorized under the E5 salary grade, featuring a pay scale from Rs.80,000 to Rs.2,20,000, with an approximate CTC of Rs.21.71 lakhs per annum.

A candidate will start at the minimum of the specified pay scale for their position. The CTC calculations include Base Pay, Retirement Benefits, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Cafeteria Allowance, which varies by salary grade (E0 at 25%, E3 at 30%, and E5 at 35% of the basic pay). Retirement benefits are provided upon separation or retirement in accordance with the HRRL policy in effect at that time.

For newly selected officers, there's a probation period of one year from the date they join. Successful completion of this period, assessed under company policy, leads to their confirmation.

For those in the pay scale of Rs.30,000 to Rs.1,20,000, a specific retention strategy is applied: a portion of their total emoluments, Rs. 3,000 per month, is set aside as a retention amount during the probation (or any extended probation period). This retained amount is refunded (without interest) upon the officer's confirmation. However, should an employee decide to leave the company or if their service is terminated before they are confirmed, this retention amount is forfeited.

Shortlisting and Selection Methodology

For positions in Salary Grade E0, the selection process is divided into three main stages: a Computer Based Test (CBT), a Skill Test, and a Personal Interview. To be considered for the CBT, candidates must meet all eligibility criteria. The CBT is objective, with no penalties for wrong answers, and includes two sections:

  • General Aptitude, assessing logical reasoning, data interpretation, quantitative aptitude, and English language skills.
  • Technical/Professional Knowledge, with questions based on the educational qualifications relevant to the applied position.
  • Successful candidates from the CBT will proceed to the Skill Test and then to the Personal Interview, based on merit and a pre-determined ratio. Candidates' overall performance across these stages, along with a Pre-Employment Medical Examination, will determine their final selection.
The minimum passing scores are as follows:
  • Technical/Professional Knowledge: 50% for all candidates.
  • Combined CBT (General Aptitude + Technical/Professional Knowledge): 60% for UR/EWS and 54% for SC/ST/OBCNC/PwBD.
  • Skill Test and Personal Interview require a minimum of 40% for UR/EWS and 33.33% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBCNC to pass.
  • The cumulative score across the CBT, Skill Test, and Personal Interview must be at least 60% for UR/EWS and 54% for SC/ST/OBCNC/PwBD candidates.
For positions in Salary Grades E3 & E5, candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria will advance in the selection process based on their application and resume. This process includes two interviews: a Technical Competency Interview and a Behavioral Competency Interview, both conducted by a panel. If a large number of applications are received, shortlisting criteria based on experience, qualification marks, and other relevant factors will be applied. These criteria will be shared on the HRRL website before the selection process begins.

The required minimum scores for these interviews are:
  • 60% for UR & EWS candidates, and 54% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBCNC in both Technical Competency and Behavioral Competency Interviews.
  • Final selection is contingent upon overall performance in both interviews and the subsequent Pre-employment Medical Examination, following the category-wise merit list.
