NHB Recruitment Selection Procedure

A. Selection Process for JMGS-I (Assistant Manager)

Phase I: Online Examination:

• Objective Tests:
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Sections: 4
  • Medium: English & Hindi
  • Separate timing for each section
  • Penalty for wrong answers: One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for wrong answers.

Test Structure:

1. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude:

   • No. of Questions: 45
   • Maximum Marks: 60
   • Time Allotted: 60 minutes

2. General Awareness (with special focus on Economy & Banking) and Computer Knowledge:

   • No. of Questions: 50
   • Maximum Marks: 50
   • Time Allotted: 40 minutes

3. English Language:

   • No. of Questions: 25
   • Maximum Marks: 30
   • Time Allotted: 35 minutes

4. Quantitative Aptitude (with special focus on Economy & Banking):

   • No. of Questions: 50
   • Maximum Marks: 50
   • Time Allotted: 35 minutes

• Descriptive Test:
  • Total Marks: 25
  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Content: Letter Writing and Essay
  • Mode: Typing on a computer
  • Note: Descriptive Test is of qualifying nature and candidates must secure a minimum score.

Phase II: Interview:

• Total Marks: 50
• Weightage (Online Examination and Interview): 80:20
• Final Selection: Based on merit list combining Online Examination and Interview scores.

B. Selection Process for Chief Economist (On Deputation)

• Tenure: Initially 3 years, extendable based on performance.
• Pay Scale: Option to draw salary from the parent organization plus deputation allowance or TEG Scale – VII (GM) in NHB.
• Maximum Age: 55 years
• Application Process: Must be sent through proper channels along with necessary documents to NHB office.

C. Selection Process for General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy Managers, and other Contract Positions

• Selection Basis: Shortlisting and Interview.
• Preliminary Screening: If applications exceed a certain number, a preliminary screening is conducted for shortlisting eligible candidates.
• Merit List: Based on interview scores, with age being a tie-breaker if required.
• Final Selection: Based on position in respective category rank list.

AGM Credit: 1 post

• Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with CA / ICWA / MBA Finance and 15 Years Experience
