Step-by-Step e-Counselling Process

Step 1: Publication of Merit List

  • The university releases a merit list based on entrance exam performance.

  • Candidates can check their rank on the official website.

Step 2: Online Registration for e-Counselling

  • No need to register for Online Counselling.

Step 3: Choice Filling and College Selection

  • Candidates need to select their preferred law colleges affiliated with Calcutta University.

  • The seat allocation is based on the merit rank and availability of seats in preferred colleges.

Step 4: Document Upload and Verification

No need to upload any document during verification. These required only during physical verification. Required documents -

  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets & certificates

  • BA LL.B Entrance Exam Rank Card

  • Birth Certificate

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

  • Recent passport-size photograph

Step 5: Payment of Counselling Fees

  3. Reservation Certificate Requirement: Students applying under SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, or EWS categories must produce valid certificates from competent authorities during physical verification as per government rules.

  4. Student Responsibility for Incorrect Data: Any incorrect document or data submitted at any stage may lead to cancellation of admission and registration as per university rules.
