Railway RRB ALP Eligibility 2024

The eligibility criteria for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot are as follows :

- Candidates should have passed the 10th standard and hold ITI from a recognized institute of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio/TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and coil winder, Mechnical (Diesal), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.

- Alternatively, candidates who have passed 10th standard with three-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in lieu of ITI are also eligible to apply.

Railway RRB ALP Selection Process

Candidates will be appointed for 5696 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilots after qualifying the various stages of the RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 selection process. The first three phases of the RRB ALP Notification 2024 will be conducted online.

RRB ALP CBT I 2024 Exam Pattern

The sections asked in the RRB ALP CBT I are: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness. A total of 75 questions have to be solved for a maximum of 75 marks in a time duration of 60 minutes(1 Hour). There is negative marking and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

RRB ALP CBT II 2024 Exam Pattern

The CBT II for RRB ALP 2024 has two parts: Part A and Part B. 

• The sections of Part A are: General Awareness & Current Affairs, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Mathematics, Basic Science & Engineering. 
• The Part B of RRB ALP CBT II tests the knowledge of aspirants in the relevant trade. 
• For Part A time duration of 90 minutes will be allotted and for Part B 60 minutes will be given counting to a total of 2 Hours 30 Minutes.

Railway RRB ALP Salary 2024

• The basic salary for an RRB Assistant Loco Pilot is Rs. 19,900/- (Level-2) 
• The salary of RRB ALP lies between Rs. 19,900 to 35,000 Per Month as per the 7th Pay Commission. 
• The salary structure includes various aspects such as basic pay, allowances, deductions, etc. The in-hand salary will be provided to the employees after all the applicable deductions.
