• B.A.LL.B (Hons) Degree Programme - The five year undergraduate programme is divided into ten semesters and enrolls120 (one twenty) students every year.

• LL.B 3 year Programme - The 3 (three) years graduate programme is divided into six semesters and enrolls 60 (sixty) students every year.

JRSET College of Law Eligibility Criteria

To gain admission into the 3-year law program, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and a three-year graduation degree, with the 12th grade being the fundamental requirement for entry into this course. Conversely, admission into the 5-year law program requires only a 10th and 12th-grade education, with the 10th grade being the essential qualification for this longer course.

It is important to note that these qualifications—10th, 12th (+2), and graduation—can be obtained through various modes, including distance learning, correspondence, or open schooling methods.

However, there are specific minimum pass percentage criteria that applicants must meet, which are mandated under Rule-7 of Legal Education Rules: 45% for candidates from the general category, 42% for those from the OBC category, and 40% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories.

A collective of social workers founded the JRS Educational Trust. This initiative was a tribute to their late fathers—Late Janendranath Pramanick, Late Ranajit Chatterjee, and Late Sarat Ch. Pal—with the trust name incorporating the initial letter of each of their names.
