Patna University is taking significant steps to streamline its academic schedule for the 2024-25 session, focusing on the punctual start of admissions and the on-time completion of its courses. To achieve this, the university has released a comprehensive academic calendar that outlines the admission process for various courses and the dates when classes will begin.

Anil Kumar, the Dean of Students’ Welfare at Patna University, has announced that the university will begin accepting online applications for admission into its four-year undergraduate programs. These programs are offered in both traditional and self-financing formats across several of its constituent colleges, including Patna College, Patna Science College, Magadh Mahila College, B N College, Vanijya Mahavidyalaya, Patna Law College, and the College of Arts and Crafts. The application process is set to commence on April 18.

Patna University will begin accepting online applications for its postgraduate programs, both regular and self-financing, on June 15. The deadline for submitting applications is July 8. Admission to many of these postgraduate courses will be based on the marks scored in the most recent qualifying exam. 

However, for specific courses such as LLM, MEd, and Master in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR), students will need to pass an entrance exam scheduled for July 15.

For other postgraduate courses offered in a self-financing mode, including subjects like biochemistry, biotechnology, environmental science & management, MCA, journalism and mass communication, social work, criminology, and several others, entrance tests will be conducted on July 15 and 16. This also applies to PG diploma courses in fields such as industrial safety management and clinical psychology, among others.

The university has scheduled the commencement of classes for all newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students on August 8, as stated by the dean.
