Qualifications for Kerala TET 2024

Paper/ Category I – Lower Primary Classes (Class 1-5):

  • 12th/10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks.
  • Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • 12th/10+2 (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
  • 12th/10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Paper/ Category II – Upper Primary Classes (Class 6-8):

  • BA/B.Sc./B.Com. degree with a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC).
  • Qualified 12th or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks along with a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Graduation in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a four-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed or B.Sc.Ed.

Paper/ Category III – High School Classes (Class 9-12):

  • Graduation with BA/B.Sc/B.Com degree securing at least 45% marks along with a B.Ed.
  • Degree in the subject concerned with MSc.Ed. Degree.

Paper/ Category IV – Language Teachers:

Candidates possessing a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in teaching in any subject, approved by Universities/NCTE/Board of Examinations/Government of Kerala.

Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as specified in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act And Rules are eligible for Kerala TET 2021 Paper IV.

KTET Exam Date 2024

The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) April 2024 Exam schedule has been released by the competent authorities. The exams are set to take place on June 22 and June 23, 2024, and will be held in two shifts each day, morning and afternoon. Here's a detailed breakdown of the exam timings for each category:

K-TET I: The exam is scheduled for Friday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

K-TET II: This session will also occur on Friday, June 22, 2024, but in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

K-TET III: Scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2024, the morning session will run from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

K-TET IV: The final exam will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Kerala TET 2024 Cut Off Marks

The Kerala TET Cut Off 2024 will be determined and announced based on the categories of the candidates – reserved and unreserved. According to the official guidelines, candidates will need to secure a minimum percentage of the total marks to qualify for the KTET Certificate.

Unreserved Category: Candidates falling under the unreserved category are required to score at least 60% of the total marks to qualify.

Reserved Category: For those in the reserved category, the minimum qualifying marks are set at 55% of the total marks.
