UPSC CMS Exam Pattern 2024

The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:-

Part-I : Written Examination – (500 marks):

The candidates will take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a
maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration.

NEGATIVE MARKING

In the objective-type exams, keep in mind that incorrect answers will lead to marks being deducted:

• For every wrong answer, you lose one-third (0.33) of the marks for that question.
• If you pick more than one answer for a question, it's automatically wrong, and you'll lose marks just as if you'd chosen one incorrect option.
• There's no penalty for questions you don't answer at all.
• The written examination in both the papers will be completely of objective
• (Multiple choice answers) type.
• The question Papers (Test Booklets) will be set in English only.
• The content for both papers of the CMSE is based on the MBBS syllabus.

Part-II : Personality Test: (100 Marks):
