- Students from Andhra Pradesh or nearby states who want to stay relatively close to home

If you are getting a branch you are genuinely interested in at IIT Tirupati, and your other options are significantly lower-ranked institutes or branches you do not want, then IIT Tirupati is absolutely worth it.
