About the Position

The Senior Associate will support EY's legal and technology teams by managing Open Source Software (OSS) licensing reviews, legal risk assessments, software compliance, and technology-driven legal projects. The role also includes supporting due diligence during mergers and acquisitions while ensuring compliance with EY's internal legal policies.

Eligibility Criteria

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
• 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Open Source Software (OSS) review.
• Strong understanding of OSS licensing concepts.
• Knowledge of software licensing rights, obligations, and restrictions.
• Experience working on technology-driven or software development projects.
• Ability to conduct subject-matter training sessions for teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review OSS intake forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with requestors to resolve incomplete OSS submissions.
• Review and analyze Open Source Software licenses.
• Provide legal advice regarding software licensing compliance.
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
• Support OSS due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Collaborate with Information Security, Global GCO, and local legal teams.
• Monitor updates to EY policies and internal compliance frameworks.
• Assess legal risks related to software usage and licensing.
• Support continuous improvement of legal risk management processes.
