AP PGECET 2024 Eligibility

To be eligible for the APPGECET, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Residency: Candidates must be residents of the State of Andhra Pradesh and must meet the local/non-local status requirements as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, and its subsequent amendments.

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have earned a relevant Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a relevant field from an institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and approved by AICTE/UGC, securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates). This degree should make them eligible for admission into the corresponding M.Tech./M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D(PB) courses as specified in the provided annexure.

Final Year Students: Candidates who are in the final year of their B.Tech or equivalent/B.Pharm. courses can also apply, provided they complete their course and pass all the subjects required for the award of the degree by the university by the date of the counselling session for admission into the colleges.

For admission into M.Tech., M.Pharm., or Pharm.D(PB) programs through the APPGECET-2024, candidates must adhere to the following eligibility criteria:

APPGECET-2024 Performance: Candidates must have taken the APPGECET-2024 and qualified in the test paper that corresponds to the course they wish to join. Seat Reservation: In accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 (and its amendments), 85% of seats in each course are reserved for local candidates from Andhra Pradesh. The remaining 15% of seats are unreserved/open to all candidates.

Preference to GATE/GPAT Qualified Candidates: When allocating seats in colleges, priority is given to candidates who have qualified in the GATE (for engineering disciplines) or GPAT (for pharmacy disciplines) exams and possess valid scores in the relevant branches. After these candidates are accommodated, the remaining seats are filled based on the merit ranks of candidates who have qualified in the APPGECET-2024.

AP PGECET 2024 Qualifying Marks

Jurisdiction: Litigations related to APPGECET-2024 fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court of A.P., Amaravathi, Guntur only.

Application Rejection: The Convener or the Common Entrance Test Committee reserves the right to reject an application at any stage due to (i) incomplete applications, (ii) failure to meet eligibility conditions, or (iii) submission of false or incorrect information.

Application Modification: No modifications, including changes in caste/community status or category, will be allowed once the application is submitted. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

Application Submission Deadline: The Convener is not responsible for applications not submitted by the designated date and time for any reason.

Hall Ticket Preservation: Candidates must preserve their hall tickets to present at the time of the test and upon entry into the course.
