Marking Scheme:

Each question is valued at four (04) marks.
For every incorrect answer, one (01) mark will be deducted.

JIPMAT 2024 Syllabus

Section A: Quantitative Aptitude

Questions will be asked to test the understanding and application of various concepts up to class 10 Mathematics.

Section B: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

Data Interpretation - Questions will be asked to test the ability to interpret from the given dataset.
Logical Reasoning - Questions will be asked to test the reasoning ability.

Section C: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Verbal Ability - Questions will be asked to test the basic understanding of English language.
Reading Comprehension - Questions will be asked to test the ability to comprehend, interpret and infer from the given passage.

Medium of Question Paper: The medium of Question Paper shall be in English only.

JIPMAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications:

Candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2/XII/HSC examinations in the arts, commerce, or science streams, or an equivalent qualification, in 2022, 2023, or be scheduled to appear in 2024. Additionally, applicants should have cleared their 10th-grade exams no earlier than 2020. It is important to note that IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu may specify alternative eligibility criteria. Candidates interested in these institutes are advised to consult their respective websites for detailed information.

Calculation of Marks:

The calculation of percentage marks for the 10th and 12th grades will adhere to the regulations of the respective educational boards. In the absence of specific regulations, the cumulative marks of all subjects listed on the grade sheet will be considered to determine the eligibility percentage.

Recognized Equivalent Examinations to 10+2:

The 10+2 level examination in the pattern of Senior Secondary Education from any recognized Central or State Board, including but not limited to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), as well as various State Boards of Secondary Education.

The Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board or University.

The Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and State Boards of Open Schooling, with a minimum of five subjects, English being one of them.

Jipmat 2024 age limit

Candidates should be born between July 1, 1999, and July 1, 2004.

Reservation Information

Reservation Categories and Percentages:

Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS): 10% of seats in every course are reserved for candidates from the General category who meet specific economic criteria set by the Government of India as of January 17, 2019.

Other Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27% of seats are reserved. To qualify, candidates must:

Be listed in the updated central list of OBCs.

Not be in the creamy layer (those are considered under the general category).

Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats are reserved.
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats are reserved.

Persons with Disability (PwD): 5% of seats are reserved across all categories for candidates with at least 40% impairment, including leprosy-cured and those with specific writing difficulties as certified by a competent authority.

Additional Notes:

OBC candidates in the state list but not in the central list cannot claim OBC-NCL reservation.

For GEN-EWS, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories, candidates must provide original certificates from a competent authority during the admission process to avail of reservations.
