Named after Nagpur's famous identity as the "Orange City", Orange Capital Debate is the flagship national debate competition organized by the University's Quiz, Debate and Literary Committee.

The tournament follows the internationally recognized British Parliamentary (BP) Debate Format, allowing participants to showcase analytical reasoning, persuasive speaking, teamwork, and public speaking abilities before experienced adjudicators.

British Parliamentary Debate Format

The competition follows the British Parliamentary (BP) debating style.

• Four Teams compete in every debate.
• Two Government (Proposition) Teams.
• Two Opposition Teams.
• Each Team consists of Two Speakers.
• Cross-Institution Teams are allowed.
• Adjudicator Policy: N = N + 1.
• Each team must provide adjudicators as per tournament rules.

• Students pursuing Undergraduate courses from UGC-recognized universities.
• Students pursuing Postgraduate courses.
• Graduates from UGC-recognized universities.
