The Punjab Legal Rights Consortium (PLRC) has officially invited submissions for the inaugural edition of the PLRC Newsletter (Volume I, Issue I). This opportunity is specially designed for undergraduate and postgraduate law students who wish to showcase their legal writing, research, analytical skills, and academic excellence through publication in a reputed student-led legal newsletter.

Whether you are writing your first legal article or already have experience in legal research, this newsletter offers an excellent platform to publish your work, gain recognition, and contribute to meaningful discussions on contemporary legal issues.

About the Opportunity

The Punjab Legal Rights Consortium (PLRC) is a student-led legal organization dedicated to promoting legal awareness, academic excellence, quality legal research, and informed discussions on important legal developments. Through publications, seminars, collaborative projects, and research initiatives, PLRC aims to create opportunities for aspiring legal professionals across India.

As part of its mission, PLRC has launched the first edition of its official newsletter. This publication aims to encourage law students to present innovative legal ideas, contemporary research, and analytical perspectives while strengthening their legal writing skills.

Why Should You Participate?

Themes

Participants may submit manuscripts based on any one of the following themes:

• Law
• Women
• Punjab

Authors are free to select any one of these themes. There is no requirement to combine all three topics into a single article.

Eligibility

• Open to Undergraduate Law Students.
• Open to Postgraduate Law Students.
• Students from recognized law institutions across India are encouraged to participate.

Submission Guidelines

• The manuscript must be completely original.
• The article should not have been published elsewhere.
• Simultaneous submission to another journal or newsletter is not permitted.
• AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly prohibited.
• Maximum two authors are permitted.
• Each author can submit only one manuscript.
• Plagiarism should not exceed 20%.
• A plagiarism report is optional but recommended.
• Articles must be written in grammatically correct English.
• Only hyperlinks should be used for citations wherever applicable.
• Traditional footnotes are not required.
• Word Limit: 1,500–2,000 words.
• Include an Abstract of 150–250 words.
• Add 4–6 Keywords.
• Submit both DOC/DOCX and PDF versions.
• File Name Format: PLRC Newsletter_Author Name_Title of Article
• Do not mention author details inside the manuscript.
• Personal information should only be entered through the submission form.
• Authors confirm originality and grant PLRC publication rights upon submission.
• The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit, accept, reject, or modify submissions where necessary.

Review Process

Every submission will undergo editorial review. The Editorial Team will evaluate manuscripts based on originality, legal relevance, research quality, clarity of arguments, language, structure, and overall academic merit. Where required, authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts before publication.

Publication

Selected articles will be published in the digital inaugural edition of the PLRC Newsletter (Volume I, Issue I). Publication provides students with valuable academic exposure and recognition within the legal community.
